Lyric robo-scansion workshop
This workshop will focus on one lyric-writing skill: getting words to scan to a tune. We know that humans can read things with natural-sounding emphasis and computer voices are getting better at this. But several of the voices that come with a Mac are singing rather than speaking voices, so they don\'t try to sound natural, they do as the tune dictates. Scansion can be thought of as the art of choosing words so that a Mac signing voice puts natural emphasis on them.
